Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Nokia Lumia 1520 vs LG G-Flex – Price and Specs Comparison

If you were waiting for LG’s G Flex smartphone to be released, well, your dream came true. It might have a screen that reminds us of the Samsung Galaxy Round, but it has similar features with the LG G2: a black button under the camera, for a quick and easy access.

So, if before, all G flex’s features were only speculations, they have been confirmed in the end. Specialists compared it with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Nokia Lumia 1520, all three of them having included 4G LTE networks, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB (2.0 or 3.0) and NFC. Today, we’ll compare the three phones, to see how similar or different they are.

Displays

G Flex comes with a 6-inch Curved Plastic OLED HD that renders a resolution of 1280x 720 pixels. We don’t know yet anything about the pixel density.

Galaxy Note 3 has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Full HD that has a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, but this device has a 386ppi pixel density.

Lumia 1520 is equipped with a 6-inch IPS LCD Full HD that renders the same resolution as the Note 3, but which has a pixel density of 367ppi.

Memories

G Flex will come with a variant of internal memory of 32 GB, but which can’t be expanded. Though, it carries 2GB of RAM, which is enough to make it a fast device.

Galaxy Note 3, on the other hand, has three variants of internal memories: 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB, and the first two ones can be expanded by up to 64 GB. The phone has 3 GB of RAM.

Lumia 1520 has an internal storage capacity of 32GB, but it can be expanded by up to 64 Gb. The phone has, like the G Flex, 2GB of RAM.

Cameras

G Flex takes excellent pictures with its 13 MP camera. The device has also a 2.1 MP secondary camera.

Galaxy Note 3 comes with a 13 MP primary camera and a 2 MP secondary camera.

Lumia 1520’s primary camera is more advanced, of 20 MP, but the secondary camera sports only 1.2 MP.

Hardware and operating systems

G Flex is an Android which is powered by a 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor. This phone has an Adreno 330 GPU and it runs on the 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

Galaxy Note 3: LTE model is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and it runs on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

Lumia 1520 is powered by a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and comes equipped with an Adreno 330 GPU, like the G Flex, but it runs on the Windows Phone 8 Black operating system.

Batteries

G Flex has the most advanced battery, which is non-removable, but has a capacity of 3500mAh.

Galaxy Note 3, on the other hand, has a Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 3200mAh.

Lumia 1520 comes, also, with a non-removable Li-Ion battery, but which has a capacity of 3400mAh.

Price

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes at a price of $544 on Amazon, Nokia Lumia 1520 costs $489 and LG G-Flex is $499 on the same website.
