The Galaxy Grand DUOS offers you an excellent photo experience thanks to its 8 MP camera that takes good quality photos and with which you can record in full HD. If you want a smaller smartphone, then you should buy the Galaxy S4, a device that was launched in April this year and which comes with a more powerful battery and a faster processor. Displays and designs
The Samsung Galaxy Grand has a 5 inch TFT capacitive touch screen that renders a resolution of 480×800 pixels, while the Galaxy S4 supports a much higher resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, although it has a display whose size is also of 5 inches. The difference is that the S4 has an AMOLED capacitive touch screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand is weighting 162 grams and comes with these dimensions: 143.5×76.9×9.6 mm, while the Galaxy S4 is 32 grams lighter, but it’s smaller also, measuring: 136.6×69.8×7.9 mm.
Hardware and operating systems
The Samsung Galaxy Grand has a 1.2 GHz dual core cortex A9 processor and although it comes with only one variant of memory of only 8 GB, you can expand it by up to 64 GB.
The Galaxy S4 is much more advanced, having a quad-core 1.6 GHz cortex-A15 + quad-core 1.2 GHz cortex-A7 processor + Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset. There are three variants of internal memories: 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB, and the first two ones are expandable by up to 64GB.
Both are Android smartphones and run on the Jelly Bean o.s., only that the Galaxy Grand has 1 GB of RAM, while the Galaxy S4 has and extra GB of RAM.
Cameras
The Samsung Galaxy Grand has an 8 MP primary camera (autofocus + LED flash) and a 2 MP secondary camera. On the other hand, the Galaxy S4 comes with a more advanced primary camera of 13 MP, while the secondary camera is also of 2 MP.
Batteries
You can talk more than 10 hours on the Samsung Galaxy Grand which has a Li-Ion 2100 mAh battery. The Galaxy S4 has a more powerful battery – a Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery that allows you to talk 17 hours on 3G on the phone.

The price of the Samsung Galaxy Grand DUOS is 265 on amazon.com, while the Samsung Galaxy S4 16 GB costs 431 dollars, and the 32 GB variant can be purchased at the price of 515 dollars.
