Nexus 7 vs Samsung Galaxy S4 – Price and Specs Comparison

Display and Design

On screens Nexus 7 is bigger than Galaxy S4 since the first one has a 7inch LED-backlit IPS LCD capacitive touch screen while the second one has only 5inches of Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen. Resolution on Galaxy S4 is 1080pixels and Nexus 7’s is 1200x1920pixels.

Samsung Galaxy S4 interior looks great with a quad core 1.6GHz cortex A15 and quad core 1.2GHz cortex A7 processor and Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset while Nexus 7 brings to the table a 1.5GHz quad core krait processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon S4Pro chipset.
Internal memory on Galaxy S4 varies from 16GB to 64 and can be upgraded to another 64GB with a Micro SD card. Nexus 7 has only 16GB and 32GB variants and no possibility for larger memory.
These devices are on the same page regarding the operating system that is Jelly Bean running on Android platform with 2GB of RAM.


First camera on Samsung Galaxy S4 rules with 13MP provided with autofocus and LED flash. Its second one has 2MP.
Nexus 7 falls behind with a 5MP principal camera with autofocus while the second one has only 1.2MP.
