Nexus 4 vs iPhone 5S – Price and Specs Comparison

If you’re looking for a cheap phone that runs very fast and has a long lasting battery, then you should buy a LG Nexus 4. The iPhone 5S is still one of the most wanted smartphones of the year, but is it really worth the high price? We’ll compare these two devices to see which one has more advantages.

Displays and designs

The Nexus 4 has a 4.7 inch True HD IPS Plus capacitive touch screen, which has a resolution of 768×1280 pixels. The iPhone 5S has a smaller display, which is a 4 inch LED-backlit IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, that renders a resolution of 640×1136 pixels.

The Nexus 4 weights 139 grams and it measures: 133.9×68.7×9.1 mm, while the iPhone 5S weights 27 grams less, but it’s also smaller, measuring: 123.8×58.6×7.6 mm.

Hardware and operating systems

The Nexus 4 has a 1.5 GHz quad core krait processor + Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon chipset and only two variants of internal memories, 8 GB and 16 GB, which can’t be expanded.

The iPhone 5S is has a 1.3 GHz dual core cyclone processor + Apple A7 chipset and also comes in more variants of internal memories: 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB, which also can’t be expanded.

The Nexus 4 is an Android running on the Jelly Bean o.s. (upgradeable to the KitKat version), with 2 GB of RAM, while the iPhone 5S is running on the iOS 7 o.s. with only 1 GB of RAM.

Cameras

The Nexus 4 has an 8 MP primary camera (autofocus + LED flash) and a 1.3 MP secondary camera. The iPhone 5S also has an 8 MP primary camera (autofocus + dual LED True Tone flash), but the secondary camera is of 1.2 MP.

Batteries

You can talk 15 hours on 3G on the Nexus 4, which has a non-removable Li-Po 2100 mAh battery, while on the iPhone 5S you can talk only 10 hours on 3G, because it has a non-removable Li-Po 1560 mAh battery that allows you to do this.

Prices

On amazon.com, the Nexus 4 8 GB variant costs 349 dollars, while the iPhone 5S 32 GB variant costs 585 dollars, and the 64 GB variant can be purchased at the price of 645 dollars.
