Initially, there were reports that Google will release the new generation of operating system in its annual I/O conference in June and in the same event, it will also unveil the much anticipated Nexus 8 tablets as well. However, no official news confirmed the same and it is likely that Nexus 8 will be showcased later and not in the same event.

The Top Features of Google Nexus 8 Tablet

When we are looking at the main features that Nexus 8 is going to sport, the key highlight remains the fact that it will run on the latest Android operating system that is still not released. The launch of the operating system will be in June and Nexus 8 is likely to hit the stores in July.

There are rumors that this time Google will be partnering with Taiwanese giant HTC for the sake of launching their new 8 inched tablet. Google authorities are of the opinion that the market for 7 inch tablet has completely saturated and so it was time to head into the 8 inch territory and check out what it has to offer.

The processor is going to be much improved, as Nexus 8 will run on Intel 64 bit quad core processor. No doubt, the tablet is going to be fast and you can make full use of almost all your apps with ease.

So far, there haven’t been any big and major leaks and so it is extremely hard to comment on what one can get in Nexus 8. However, as the specifications are going to get a major facelift, it is likely that the price will shoot higher too.  The major focus of Google is iPad air and with Nexus 8, they want to have a device which will give apple the forecast competition and thereby topple the numbers for Apple. Whether or not, they manage to do so remains a tale that will unfold with time.

Those who loved Nexus 7 are sure to worship Nexus 8 tablet because it is going to be a much better and improved version. However, if you have a budget to take care of, you might find it a little hard because Nexus 8 is going to be one of those high end tablets which come with a hefty price tag.

The New Operating System

There are reports circulating in the media that state that the latest Android operating system is going to see some breakthrough changes. The icons are probably going to have a makeover as they will resemble web icons. Apart from the look and style, there may be other changes too which we will come to know with the official launch. The fact that Nexus 8 will be running on this new OS is another reason for the craze and hype that this tablet is gathering.
