Google Nexus 10 2 vs Microsoft Surface 2 – Which Second Generation is Worth Buying?

There are a lot of rumors about the release date of the second Google Nexus 10, but nothing has been confirmed yet. On the other hand, the speculations regarding the specs have been confirmed somehow, after they’ve circulated on the Internet for a long time.

So what we’ll expect from the Google Nexus 10 2? A 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a 9,500 mAh battery, 3GB of RAM, an internal memory of 32 GB, and most probably, the device will run on the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. With these specs, the Google Nexus 10 2 will be a good competitor to the second generation Microsoft Surface. But which one will attract more buyers’ attention?

Advantages vs. disadvantages

If the Microsoft Surface 2 offers a bigger display, the Google Nexus 10 has a higher resolution. While both phones come with 32 Gb of internal memory, the Microsoft Surface 2’s storage space can be expanded.

Prices

Although nothing has been announced officially regarding the price of Nexus 10 2, Google will probably try to sell more budget-friendly tablets, like the Nexus 10 whose price is 399 dollars (16 GB) or 499 dollars (32 GB variant).

Platforms

When it comes to operating systems, every tablet user wants to be impressed by the applications that come with the OS. The most popular tablets are the ones that come with an Android platform, but the Windows 8.1 RT is indicated for those who use Microsoft Office a lot.

With the Microsoft Surface, you’ll have the impression that you’re looking at a regular desktop, plus the keyboard can give you the impression that you’re using a cheap laptop.
