The Samsung Galaxy Core Advance is an Android phone with a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and a RAM of 1 GB offering the device a smooth functioning even during multi tasking. It slightly improves on the Samsung Galaxy core, with the Advance having a bigger screen along with physical buttons. e. The Core Advance has dimensions of 133.3 x 70.5 x 9.7 mm and weighs 145 kg, whereas the Galaxy Core is rather lightweight at 124 g.
The Core is also quite compact and can be easily handled with a single hand and also wont stick out of your pocket. The Galaxy Core is also a mid range phone, available in single as well as dual SIM versions (called Galaxy Core Duos).
The Core Advance has a display of 4.7 inches, a little bigger than the Core with a screen of 4.3 inches, but the display resolution of the Advance is quite disappointing at 480 x 800 pixels HD. The Core has a resolution of 480 x 800 p (WVGA) and the screen is not too sharp as the pixel density is only 217 ppi, which is below average. However, it seems Samsung had to cut the phone short on some aspect, as it is being offered at an affordable price.
The Core Advance runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and not the 4.3 or the latest 4.4 KitKat., but it comes with a customized user interface. The Core Advance offers storage of 8 GB of internal storage, which is expandable with a micro SD card up to 32 GB. The Samsung Core runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz offering some good functionality and smooth running without lags. It has a RAM of 1 GB and you can play basic games, such as Temple Run, quite effortlessly. The Core also supports Wi-Fi and 3G, along with Bluetooth, FM Radio and GPS.
Battery and Camera
The battery capacity of the Core Advance is 2000 mAh and connectivity includes Wi-Fi, NFC and also GPS, together with compatibility for Europe 3G data bands. The NFC connectivity can be useful for synchronizing with modern devices.
The camera of the Core Advance is a 5 MP one along with a front facing VGA camera of 0.3 MP useful for making video calls and taking selfies, but the quality of the front facing camera is not that good. The Galaxy Core does not excel in any particular aspect, but it is above average in all the features and is offered at a decent price of around $216.
