Since launching it for Xbox One last November, people from Skype have been working hard trying to enhance the Skype for Xbox One experience of its users.
Now, the long wait is over as Skype announces its initial improvements for Skype for Xbox One.

Enhancements to Chat
As most users are fond of jumping between using Skype on their PC and their phone, the new update will allow users to synchronize their conversations with and lessen missed messages. The new chat feature now includes push notifications which notifies users when a new message arrives. The chat history has been extended up to 1,000 messages instead of the previous week.
Captain America Emoticons
The new chat feature now includes “hidden heroes” emoticons based on the characters from the movie Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Now, you can send more action-packed emoticons when chatting with your Skype friends.
Filtering Contacts
With the new updates to Skype for Xbox One, you will now be able to group your contacts as to who is online so you do not have to check all your contacts to look for someone to chat with.

If you are a first time user of Skype for Xbox One, it will be much easier to learn the ropes of video calling and chatting.
Fixing Bugs
Now, it would be much easier to fix issues that you might be experiencing.
Notifications
Now you will no longer miss any chat or call because notifications will pop-up while you are watching live television, or playing Xbox Fitness.
Wide Angle Camera with Auto Zoom and Pan
Kinect is bringing its wide view lens functionality to Skype for Xbox One. Now, everyone in the family or even relatives will fit into the screen. With auto zoom, the camera will immediately focus its lens on the caller.
Multitasking with Snap-Able Apps
Doing several tasks simultaneously can be much easier with Snap-Able apps. With this new feature, you can accept a voice call while checking the scores on your favorite sports or watching a movie while chatting with your friends.
Improved Video Quality
For those who love one-on-one chats, the new update will bring Skype chatting to a whole new level. With the new chat feature, video quality is improved and is sharper than before. Experience video calling at 1080p high definition quality. This way, the person you are calling will be crystal clear making the experience more memorable and worthwhile.
