Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo vs Galaxy Mega 6.3 – Price and Specs Comparison

The Mega 6.3 was released in January 2013, and because of its suggestive name, people assumed that it will achieve breath taking feats. The front of the device is covered by a 6.3 inch, multi touch, capacitive SC LCD touch screen, with a 233 ppi density, and capable of displaying no less than 16 M colors. The contrast ratio that it offers for sunlight and normal light is 1.913:1 and 1379:1 respectively.

Camera, Specs and Battery

With its Android capabilities between Jelly Bean and KitKat, the Galaxy Mega 6.3 offer an 8 MP camera on the back and another 1.9 MP for the front camera. Getting back to the rear camera, it has a Flash LED and Auto-Focus, while capable of a 3246 x 2448 resolution. The power behind the phone lays with the 1.7 GHz dual core processor  and 1.5 GB of RAM. One of the phone’s strong suites is the 3200 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo starts with the advantage of being release after the Mega 6.3, in Juny 2013, to be more specific.

Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo operates using a different display technology than today’s opponent, namely the Super AMOLED technology. It has the same resolution as the Galaxy Mega 6.3, but, due to it having a significantly smaller display of only 5.5 inches, compared to the 6.3 inches on the Galaxy Mega, it also has a bigger pixel per inch density.

Camera, Specs and Battery

The device has an 8 MP rear camera, just like the Galaxy Mega 6.3, but also a front facing camera which is a little better than the competition. The front facing camera on the Note 3 Neo is 2 MP. Further down the road, the Note 3 Neo starts to leave the Mega 6.3 behind in terms of specifications, showcasing a quad core processor and 2 GB of RAM. Its 74 hours battery life also beats the 60 hour battery life of the Mega 6.3

Conclusion

Aside from falling behind in terms of Android upgrades, the Neo 3 is better than the Galaxy Mega 6.3 at every step, with clearly better specifications and more features.
