HTC Nexus 6 vs Sony Xperia Nexus – Best Android Phone?

Seeing all the speculations and rumors that are surfacing on the Internet about Google’s new smart device, the Nexus 6, two developers from Concept Phones made their own supposition about how the handset will look. Dmitry Stvolov took inspiration from HTC’s One M8, seeing how Google’s ‘partner in crime’ might be HTC, and potrayed a beautiful, elegant handset.

Adam Safranek took another spin on things and showed a device that is very much alike to Sony’s Xperia series (Sony is another company rumored to work on the Nexus 6), which is still an exquisite looking handset.

If any of these two speculations of how the phone will look are true, we cannot say. But we guess we’ll see when Google releases its new flagship smartphone. Now we can look at the specs of the device if it qualifies as a HTC or Sony handset.

Operating system

One thing we’re sure about is that Google likes bringing their newest operating system along with their flagship device. We saw it before, when the Nexus 5 was the first smartphone on the market to come with Android KitKat and we see it now when the Nexus 6 will come with the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS Google just released this summer.

Specs

While we don’t know for sure what company will co-produce the Nexus 6, we know that Google has the last say when it comes to what specs the device will have. So, either it is HTC or Sony, the device will come with a 5.2 inches capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 2K. As for hardware, we can see that the Google device will have the latest Snapdragon chipset from Qualcomm. The Nexus 6 will support 3GB of RAM, and multiple options of internal memory starting from 32GB. The main camera will have 12MP and a special feature: optical image stabilization.

Brand

What would be the best decision Google could make? HTC or Sony?

Well, we know the Japanese company Sony used to rule the tech market and be inspiration for a lot of influential people now, like Steve Jobs for his Apple company. While this is true, we also know that all this was happening in the 1980s. The situation has changes quite a lot, and other companies are ruling the tech market now.

HTC would be a great option for Google to go with. The company has had great devices hit the market like the HTC One M7 and HTC One M8 which had a lot of success. A HTC signature look on one of the Nexus devices will surely be an interesting aspect to see. HTC is a younger company than Sony, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the Nexus 6 won’t be an amazing device if it’s manufactured by this Taiwanese company.
